The McKenley-Wint Track and Field Classic took place at the Calabar High School on January 24, 2026, and featured several of the island’s top secondary athletes across a multiplicity of events.
Class 1 Boys’ Javelin Final
Kingston College secured the quinella in the class 1 boys’ javelin via Kayodi Smith who won the event with a personal best of 49.35m and Samuel Oliver Brown who placed second with a season’s best of 41.92m. Anzain Walker of Calabar High was third in 40.32m. The field was rounded out by Jadan Edwards of Kingston Technical High in a personal best of 38.13m, Jermaine Christian of Paul Bogle High in a personal best of 36.25, Aaden Howard of Kingston College in 32.64m, Rojeve Graham of St. George’s College in a personal best of 32.14m, Jahvier Wong of Happy Grove High in a personal best of 32.20, D’Andre Beckford of Happy Grove High in a personal best of 24.39, Jayden Comrie of Camperdown High in a personal best of 23.60, Giovanni Plummer of St. George’s College in a personal best of 21.21.
Class 1 Boys’ Long Jump Final
Shevaughn Pryce of Calabar High won the class 1 boys’ long jump, cutting the sands in a personal best of 6.91m (+1.9), while Jurel Clement of Kingston College was second in a personal best of 6.78m (-0.3) and Nasir McMorris of Campion was third in 6.44m (+0.4). The top ten competitors was rounded out by Jabari Williams of Calabar High in a personal best of 6.42m (+1.4), Antonio Anderson of Calabar in a personal best of 6.40m (+0.4), Romaine Dishen of Cornwall College in a personal best of 6.38m (+0.6), Kaleel Samuels of Calabar High in a personal best of 6.30m (-0.7), Kishane Chin of Calabar High in 6.29m (+1.0), Ainsworth Ferguson of Munro College in 6.28m (+1.2) and Damion Tyquan Daley of Cornwall College in a personal best of (+0.6).
Boys’ 400m Hurdles Class 1 (91.4cm)
Durville Jackson of Calabar High won the class 1 boys’ 400m hurdles in a season’s best of 54.49, while Jordan Taylor of Kingston College was second in 55.02 and Micah St. Michael Willis of Calabar was third in 55.32. The field was rounded out by Temani Stewart of Oberlin High in a personal best of 56.63, Dominique Torraine of Maggotty High in a personal best of 57.50, Jaden Campbell of St. George’s College in a personal best of 57.99 and Terrence Junior Andrews of Ferncourt in a personal best of 1:23.53.
Boys’ 400m Hurdles Class 2 (83.8cm)
Malique Kerron Cunningham of St. George’s College won the class 2 boys 400m hurdles in a personal best of 56.48, while Jaydon Williams of York Castle was second in a personal best of 56.62 and Sandjae James of Camperdown was third in 56.82. The field was rounded out by Malik Thompson of Camperdown in a personal best of 56.86, Tadjique Amouri Mark Dixon of St. George’s College in personal best of 57.57, Jordan McBean of Calabar High in 58.03, Kamar Howell of Kingston College in a personal best of 58.82 and Kemar McLennon of Cornwall College in 59.01.
Girls 400m Hurdles Open (76.2cm)
Shakeya Reid of Penwood High won the girls’ 400m hurdles in a season’s best of 1:03.37, while Imani Lowe of Convent of Mercy Alpha was second in a personal best of 1:03.91 and Natalia M. Moore of Penwood High was third in a personal best of 1:09.99. The field was rounded out by Tehara Temple of Convent of Mercy Alpha in a personal best of 1:10.01, Michaelann Lindo of St. Catherine High in a personal best of 1:10.07, Rochelle Martin of St. Catherine High in a personal best of 1:18,75, Raquala Walker of St. Catherine High in a personal best of 1:18.97 and Gabriella Treasure of St. Catherine High in 1:24.57.
Boys’ 800m Class 1
Dujhauntai Lewis of Calabar High won the class 1 boys’ 800m final in 1:54.73, while the Kenyan Ryan Achau was second in 1:55.20 and Seth Ridgard of Munro College was third in a personal best of 1:56.04. Ratieo Walters of Titchfield High won the class 2 boys’ 800m final in a season’s best of 2:01.43, while Timon McLean of St. George’s College was second in a personal best of 2:01.72 and Obrian Clarke of Calabar High was third in 2:03.19. Treyshawn Kelly of Fogo Road High won the class 3 boys’ 800m final in a personal best of 2:12.96, while Neil Crawford of Titchfield High was second in a personal best of 2:13.13 and Brandon Bowen of Calabar High was third in a personal best of 2:13.69. Keyah Kira Anderson won the class 1 girls’ 800m final in 2:23.13, while Casey-Dee Fuller of Convent of Mercy Alpha was second in a season’s best of 2:30.41 and Ashanti Parks, also of Convent of Mercy Alpha, was third in 2:31.13. The field was rounded out by Kellesse Riley of Immaculate Conception High in 2:31.44, Yasheika Bean of Papine High in a personal best of 2:37.38 and Shellecia Henry of Kingston High in a personal best of 3:44.11.
Class 2 Girls’ 800m Final
Latoya Shanice Williams of the Queen’s School won the class 2 girls’ 800m final in a personal best of 2:21.31, while Vennesha Pommells of Manchester High was second in a season’s best of 2:24.75 and Netanya Robinson of Immaculate conception High was third in 2:24.81. The field was rounded out by Kimberly Brown of Manchester High in 2:32.06, Breanna Thompson of Campion College in 2:38.33, Gizelle James of Papine High in a season’s best of 2:44.72, Rori-Ann Stephenson of Convent of Mercy Alpha in a personal best of 2:58.64 and Lakeliah Squire of Convent of Mercy Alpha in 3:08.73.
Class 3 Girls’ 800m Final
Warreka Hyman of Ferncourt won the class 3 girls’ 800m final in a personal best of 2:27.25, while Gabrielle Francis of St. Catherine High was second in a personal best of 2:30.36 and Sakina Peterkin of Manchester high was third in a personal best of 2:31.67. Class 1 Boys’ 110m Hurdles Final (99.1cm)
Kingston College dominated the top five placings of the class 1 boys’ 110m hurdles. Indeed Taj-Oneil Gordon won the event in a personal best of 13.70, while his team-mates Michael Dwyer and Timothy Purrier were second and third, respectively, posting 14.30 and 14.57PB. The field was rounded out by Nathan Todd of Kingston College in a season’s best of 14.92, Jurel Clement of Kingston College in a season’s best of 14.97, Joshua Lewis of Camperdown in a personal best of 15.15, Temani Stewart of Oberlin High in 16.58 and Noel Wright of HSJ Track Club in 17.92.
Class 2 Boys’ 110m Hurdles Final (91.4cm)
Brandon Bennet of Kingston College won the class 2 boys’ 110m hurdles final, posting a personal best of 14.13, while his team-mate Daquan Dawkins was second in a personal best of 14.35 and Jordan McBean was third in 14.40. The top eight was rounded out by Emmile Higgins of Kingston College in a personal best of 14.52, Zahir Naraysingh of Campion College in a personal best of 14.60, Omar Bonny of Kingston College in 15.00, Sandjae James of Camperdown High in 15.06 and Jaymar Romero Huntley of St. Andrew Technical in a personal best of 15.34.
Class 3 Boys’ 100m Hurdles Final (83.8cm)
Drequan Jones of Kingston College won the class 3 boys’ 100m final in a personal best of 14.03, while Dylan Bent of Manchester High was second in a personal best of 14.44 and Zachary Ajani Hunter was third in a personal best of 14.45. The top eight was rounded out by Alex Lewis of Calabar High in 14.56, Ajani Pryce of Kingston College in a personal best of 14.75, Chadwick Orlando Robinson of Calabar in a personal best of 14.78, Rajeev Gunns of Kingston College in a personal best of 14.98 and Zahairr Evans of Kingston College in a personal best of 15.02 (.015).
Class 1 Girls’ 100m Hurdles Final (83.8cm)
There were six starters and five finishers in the class 1 girls’ 100m hurdles final. Shakeya Reid of Penwood High won the event in a season’s best of 14.94, while Joi-Anne Russell of Immaculate Conception High was second in 15.00 and Brianna Carr of St. Hughs was third in a personal best of 16.01. The field was rounded out by Janielle Lowe of Wolmer’s Girls in 16.56 and A’rihana Monroe of Marymount High in a personal best of 19.36. Michaelann Lindo of St. Catherine High did not finish the race.

Akeelah Bell of Wolmer’s Girls won the class 2 girls’ 100m hurdles in a personal best of 13.41, while Rajana Price of Convent of Mercy Alpha was second in a season’s best of 13.60 and Kyra Loye Kelly of Immaculate Conception High was third in a personal best of 13.75. The field was rounded out by Maceala Gordon of Convent of Mercy Alpha in a personal best of 14.12, Abigail Ross of St. Andrew High in a personal best of 14.20, Jadea Harris of Wolmer’s Girls in 14.48, Shalomi Berry of Convent of Mercy Alpha in 14.80 and Ayanna Blake of Immaculate Conception High in 15.09.

Azaria Harris of Convent of Mercy Alpha won the class 3 girls’ 80m hurdles final in 11.45, while Odaina Creary of Wolmer’s Girls was second in 11.64 and Seana Wilson of Convent of Mercy was third in a personal best of 11.67. The field was rounded out by Phillipa James of Convent of Mercy Alpha in a personal best of 11.82, Natalia M. Jabulani Mcleod of Kingston College posted a season’s best of 48.20 to win the class 1 boys’ 400m final, while his team-mate Markel Smith was second in a season’s best of 48.27 and Denzel Carter of Foga Road High was third in a personal best of 48.59. Darrian Francis of Lacovia High won the class 3 boys’ 100m in a personal best of 11.49, while Alex Lewis of Calabar was second in an equaling personal best of 11.56 and Romane Hall of Innswood was third in a personal best of 11.74. Tricha Walker of Camperdown was the overall winner in the class 1 girls 100m, posting a season’s best of 12.35, while Shanan Salmon of Mount Alvernia was second in a personal best of 12.36 and Shaneca Smith of Manchester High was third in a season’s best of 12.38. The top eight was rounded out by Tahanni Brianna Bryce of Papine High in 12.48, Morissa Heslop of Camperdown High in a personal best of 12.59, Sharla Bell of Mount Alvernia in a season’s best of 12.62 (.612), Mikayla Gordon of Herbert Morrison Technical High in a personal best of 12.62 (.615) and Ashley Ferguson of St. Mary Technical High in 12.85.
Class 2 Girls’ 100m Final
Shaneika McLean of Fogo Road High won the class 2 girls 100m time final in 12.18, while Giana Murray of Mount Alvernia was second in a personal best of 12.30 and Rajana Price of Convent of Mercy Alpha was third in a personal best of 12.31. The top eight was rounded out by Janice A. Francis of Camperdown High in a season’s best of 12.46, Sanique Williston of Marymount High in a personal best of 12.35, Shannaty Burke of Ferncourt High in a personal best of 12.55, Priscilla Johnson of the Queen’s School in a personal best of 12.62 and Jada Blake of the Queen’s School in 12.89.
Class 3 Girls’ 100m Final
Rihanna Scott of Ferncourt High was the overall winner in the class 3 girls’ 100m, posting a season’s best of 12.08, while Azaria Harris of Convent of Mercy Alpha was second in a personal best of 12.13 and Veneisha Pottinger of Mount Alvernia was third in a personal best of 12.28.
