The 51st Carifta Games were held in St. George’s, Grenada, between March 30 and April 1. There was a total of twenty-seven countries that participated at the 2024 edition of the Carifta Games. Essentially, there were two distinct age groups that participated at the Carifta Games, these were, the under-17 age group and the under 20 age group. At the end of the three days of competition, Jamaica stood atop the medal table with 84 medals, to include 45 gold, 23 silver and 16 bronze. This was Jamaica 38th straight win, and its 43rd overall. The Bahamas was the next best performing team, with 35 medals, to include 9 gold, 13 silver and 13 bronze. With her record-breaking performance in the Under-20 long jump competition, Trinidad and Tobago's Jaenae De Gannes won the Austin Sealey Award that is given to the most outstanding performer at the games.
Under 17 Girls 100m Final - NWI
Athaleyha Hinckson of Guyana won the under 17 girls 100m in 11.44, while Adora Campbell of Jamaica was second in 11.52 and Aniya Nurse of Barbados was third in 11.76. The field was rounded-out by Kerelle Etrienne of Dominica in 11.85, Poshannalee Blake of Jamaica in 12.15, Jady Emmanuel of Saint Lucia in 12.23, Egypt Regis Benjamin of Grenada in 12.38 and Tianna Richardson of Trinidad and Tobago in 12.41.
Under 20 Girls 100m Final – Wind: +0.3
Jamaica secured the quinella in the under 20 girls 100m final, through Sabrina Dockery and Thieanna-Lee Terrelonge, who posted 11.26 and 11.32, respectively. Geolyna Dowdye of Antigua was third in 11.64. The field was rounded-out by Kishawna Niles of Barbados in 11.66, Shayann Demeritte of the Bahamas in 11.69, Symphony Patrick of Trinidad and Tobago in 11.81, Sariah Doresca of Haiti in 11.96 and Shatalya Dorsett of the Bahamas in 12.39.

Nyrone Wade of Jamaica won the under 17 boys 100m final in 10.43, while Kadeem Chinapoo of Trinidad and Tobago was second in 10.59 and Malike Nugent of Jamaica was third in 10.74. Devonte Howell of the Cayman Island won the boys under 20 100m final in 10.15, while his team-mate Jaden Reid was second in 10.34, and Javorne Dunkley of Jamaica was third in a similar 10.34. The field was rounded-out by Ajani Daley of Antiqua in 10.46, Jeremiah Adderley of Bahamas in 10.50, Carlos Brown JR. of the Bahamas in 10.51, Samuel Green of Grenada in 10.52 and Emilio Bishop of Grenada in 10.69.

The Jamaican quartet of Nyrone Wade, Malike Nugent, Byron Walker and Oshane Jervis won the under 17 boys 4 x 100m relays in 41.30, while The Trinidad and Tobago quartet of Cameron Nathaniel-Powell, Kakeem Chinapoo, Shane CAmejo and Kaeden Herbert was second in 41.53 and the Bahamian quartet of Ishmael Rolle, Everette Fraser, Branden Mackey and Kion Burrows was third in 42.30. The field was rounded-out by the British Virgin Islands in 42.47, Guyana in 43.68 and the Turks and Caicos Islands in 45.25. Grenada did not finish.
4 x 100m Final, Boys Under 20
The Trinidad and Tobago quartet of Che Wickham, Mikhail Byer, Hakeem Chinapoo and Dylan Woodruffe posted 40.45, to win the under 20 boys 4 x 100m, while the Jamaican quartet of Javorne Dunkley, Raheem Pinnock, Gary Card and Johan-Ramaldo Smythe was second in 40.55 and the Grenadian quartet of Shaquane Toussaint, Emilio Bishop, Taigon Peterkin and Samujel Green was third in 40.71. The field was rounded-out by Antigua in 40.75, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines in 41.29 and Bahamas in 41.35. Guyana and Barbados did not start.
4 x 400m Final, Girls Under 17
The Jamaican quartet of Britannia Bailey, Nastassia Fletcher, Kevongaye Fowler and Tresha Lee Sutherland won the under 17 girls 4 x 400m relay in 3:41.84, while the Bahamian quartet of Darvinique Dean, Alexis Roberts, Alexandra Komolafe and X was second in 3:47.13 and the Trinidad and Tobago quartet of Kyah Hyson, Tenique Vincent, Shian Lewis and Jenna-Marie Thomas was third in 3:54.49. The field was rounded-out by Grenada in 4:01.75, Bermuda in 4:04.59 and Saint Lucia in 4:08.48. Barbados posted 3:49.68 for seventh, but was disqualified. The Turks and Caicos Islands and Saint Kitts and Nevis did not start.
4 x 400m Final, Girls Under 20
The Jamaican quartet of Abigail Campbell, Shanique Williams, Kitania Headley and Shanoya Douglas posted 3:34.69, to win the under 20 girls 4 x 400m relay, while the Trinidad and Tobago quartet of Kaori Robley, Sanna Frederick, Kaziah Peters and Janae De Gannes was second in 3:47.51 and the Barbadian quartet of Kadia Rock, Ariel Archer, Ashlyn Simmons and Layla Haynes was third in 3:48.21. The field was rounded-out by Grenada in 3:58.57. The Bahamian quartet was disqualified, while Guyana and Haiti did not start.
4 x 400m Final, Boys Under 17
The Jamaican quartet Fransico Williams, Robert Miller, Keandre Kelly and Nickecoy Bramwell won the under 17 boys 4 x 400m in 3:18.43, while the Trinidad and Tobago quartet of Makaelan Woods, Shealon Gordon, Michal Paul and Khordae Lewis was second in 3:21.24 and The Grenadian quartet of Kemron Mathlyn, Kimol Murray, Jayden Knight and Adriel Mitchel was third in 3:21.92. The fioeld was rounded-out by Bahamas in 3:24.62 and Turks and Caicos Islands in 3:29.08.
4 x 400m Final, Boys Under 20
The Jamaican quartet of Kemario Bygrave, Marcinho Rose, Javaughn Pinnock and Jaquan Coke won the under 20 boys 4 x 400m in 3:10.58, while The Trinidad and Tobago quartet of Keone John, Jaden Clement, Dashaun Lezama and Kyrell Thomas was second in 3:11.10 and the Guyanese quartet of Malachi Austin, Jaheel Cornette, Jamol Sullivan and DR Neilson Gill was third in 3:14.05. The field was rounded-out by Grenada in 3:14.24, Barbados in 3:14.39, Antigua in 3:14.58 and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines in 3:16.93. Bahamas was disqualified.
