Kirani James once again Rules the 400m

Nineteen-year-old Kirani James of Grenada today confirmed  that he is indeed  the  undisputed quarter-mile king by capturing the 400m  Olympic title in a Grenadian national record and personal best time of  43.94 seconds. James performance was simply dominant as he finished well ahead of 18 year old Luguelin Santos (44.46) of the Dominican Republic and LaLonde Gordon (44.52) of Trinidad and Tobago. James becomes the first non-American to go sub-44 seconds  in the 400m and became the first athlete from Grenada to capture an Olympic medal. By virtue of this victory, James has now added the Olympic title to the World title that  he won in  Daegu last year. James who is  currently a student at the University of Alabama, has now won 400m titles at every level of competition.
