'I know I will make the Jamaican World Championship team' says Patricia Hall

“I will make the Jamaican team [to Moscow], I know I will,” said Patricia Hall after capturing the women’s 400m B race at the New York Diamond League meet this past Saturday (May 25).  On a day when there was constant downpour of rain  and in cold temperature, Hall won the event in 51.85 seconds ahead of Great Britain's Shanna Cox (52.01) and Jamaica's  Shericka Williams (52.14). Hall, the Vere Tech graduate who has a season best 50.86 seconds in the 400m  is having a superb season and was visible taken aback when asked whether she thought she would make the Jamaican World Championship team to Moscow. In the big scheme of things Hall said that she believes that her performance in New York  was a step in the right direction. “It’s cold out there and we have to work with what we have,” she told reporters in her post-race press conference. Hall, who specializes in the 400m also  has a personal best 22.51 seconds in the 200m which she set a week ago in Brazil (May 19). Hall is positioning herself to have quite an impact in both the 200m and 400m at the upcoming Jamaican Trials in late-June. Hall next race will be in the British Virgin Islands.
