Kimmons, 31, tested positive for the prohibited substance 1,3-dimethylbutylamine as a result of an in-competition urine sample he provided on March 12, 2016, at the USA Track & Field (USATF) Indoor Championships in Portland, Ore. Except for his false start in the 100m finals at the 2011 Daegu World Championship, Bolt, the 6’5” Jamaican, has captured every global sprint titles (100m and 200m) since the 2008 Beijing Olympics. Bolt currently holds the world record in both the 100m (9.58) and 200m (19.19) and has set the bar so high that he has already cemented his legacy as the best sprinter ever. Bolt, who is approaching the age of 30, has discussed possibly retiring after the 2017 London World Championship. With personal best times of 9.58 (100m) and 19.19 (200m) under his spikes, both world records, 2015 saw an injury-plagued and apparently out-of-shape Bolt running less than impressive season best times of 9.79 (100m) and 19.55 (200m). However, it was the manner and the stage on which the 6’5” Jamaican established his 2015 season’s best that will be remembered. Going up against his main rival, American Justin Gatlin at the 2015 World Championship in Beijing, Bolt proved his mettle by narrowly defeating Gatlin in the 100m, in 9.79 seconds to Gatlin’s 9.80 seconds.
