Photo by O'Neil Reid"][/caption] Jamaica’s Usain Bolt, Yohan Blake and Warren Weir are set to contest the men’s 200m final tomorrow in London. Bolt won his semi-final race in 20.18 seconds. Bolt jogged the last 80m of the race while looking around. Blake built a huge lead coming into the home stretch and cruised to victory in 20.01 seconds ahead of American Spearmon (20.02) and Frenchman Christophe Lemaitre (20.03). Blake who seems more concerned about qualifying for the finals decelerated badly during the last 15 meters allowing Spearmon and ....

Photo by O'Neil Reid"][/caption] Olympic 100m champion, Jamaica’s Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce was denied the opportunity to complete the sprint double by American Allyson Felix. Felix won the women’s 200m in a time of 21.88 seconds ahead of Fraser-Pryce (22.09) and Carmelita Jeter (22.14). Fraser-Pryce time of 22.09 is a lifetime best surpassing the 22.10 seconds she ran at the Jamaican Trials. Fraser-Pryce did not run particularly good curve and had to dig deep to stay in the hunt, but was unable to cat....
12 August 2012	Trinidad’s Keshorn Walcott Strikes Gold in Javelin 6 By [caption id="attachment_5007" align="alignleft" width="300" caption="Trinidad and Tobago Flag"][/caption] Nineteen-year-old Keshorn Walcott of Trinidad and Tobago shocked the track and field world by capturing gold in the men's javelin yesterday. Walcott winning throw of 84.58m in the second round, established a new national record for Trinidad and Tobago and capped a sensational season for the teenager. Walcott finished ahead of Ukraine’s Oleksandr Pyatnytsya (84.51m) and Finland’s Antti Ruuskanen (84.12m). Norway’s Thorkildsen Andreas, the 2004 and 2008 Olympic champion in the event finished in 6th place with a throw of 82.63m. With this victory, Walcott becomes the second man ....
